Holiday events at Camana Bay

It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas at Camana Bay and it all kicks off with the Annual Tree Lighting on Saturday, 17 November. Come out and watch the Town Centre transform into a sparkling wonderland while listening to holiday tunes and watching inspiring performances – and, of course, see Santa! Holiday Moonlight & Movies is back every Tuesday until 18 December. For the final showing, the public will be given the opportunity to vote on their favourite holiday-themed film – voting will be opened on the Camana Bay Facebook page from 19 November.

Santa Claus is coming to town to take photos and to listen to your wish list every Thursday, from 29 November until 20 December. Every Saturday from 1 to 22 December, Santa will go island style in a tropical shirt and shorts, and photos will take place on the Island overlooking the harbour.

On Saturday, 1 December, Cayman 27’s Parade of Lights is back at Camana Bay. Take in the showcase of beautifully lit boats at Grand Cayman’s largest festive gathering.

If you are looking for an ‘all about local’ Christmas and wish to show support to local artists, then stop by the Visual Arts Society’s Christmas Craft Market on Saturday, 8 September to browse homemade art, jewellery, crafts, and ornaments. On Saturday, 15 December, come out to the Junior Achievement Market on the Paseo and show your support to young enterprising achievers in support of their handmade products. If you want to continue supporting worthy causes throughout the season, give back by taking part in the Santa Run on Sunday, 16 December, where all proceeds raised will benefit the Camana Bay Christmas Give.

The holiday season is all about tradition, so why not stop by Abacus on Friday, 21 December, for the 11th Annual Mistletoe Party! This is the event of the year to be seen at. Don your best winter whites and dance the night away while also supporting the Lions Club of Cayman.

If you still need to get more off your shopping list don’t forget to stop by Camana Bay, every Thursday for Thursday Late-Night Shopping where participating shops will stay open until 8 p.m. to allow more time to complete your Christmas shopping!

Start your New Year’s Eve by dining at one of Camana Bay’s signature restaurants with your loved ones and enjoying a fireworks display at 8 p.m.

Holiday Market

Wednesdays, 14 November through 19 December (except 5 December, see note below), 12-7 p.m., the Paseo

Throughout the holiday season, Camana Bay’s popular weekly Farmers & Artisans Market will return, infused with Christmas cheer. The final market of the year will take place on Wednesday, 19 December.

Please note: there will not be a market on Wednesday, 5 December due to set up for the NKY Fashion Week event.

Thursday Late-Night Shopping

Thursdays through 20 December.

Participating shops will stay open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays throughout the holiday season to allow for more time to complete your Christmas shopping and enjoy the vibrant Town Centre well into the evening hours. Annual Tree Lighting

Saturday, 17 November, 4-11 p.m., the Crescent

It’s the start of the holiday season! Camana Bay will transform into a sparkling wonderland with holiday tunes, inspiring performances, an appearance by Santa and the lighting of our majestic Christmas tree starting at 6 p.m. Come out early for a holiday-themed craft market from 4 p.m. and performances starting at 5 p.m. Stay for the after-party and dance the night away with music under the stars from 9-11 p.m. with DJ Derrek.

Pink Ladies Christmas Bazaar

Saturday, 24 November, 2-5 p.m., the Arts & Recreation Centre

This annual charity fundraiser features delicious homemade tea, distinctive handmade crafts, a white elephant sale, a silent auction and special performances.

Sewing Class: Christmas Light Garland

Saturday, 24 November, 2-4 p.m., 3 Girls & A Kiln

Deck the halls with boughs of holly… and a hand-sewn string of lights! The team of 3 Girls & A Kiln will walk you through sewing together your very own string of lights perfect for holiday décor. Ceramics Class: Christmas Tree Server

Holiday Moonlight & Movies

Snuggle up under the stars for a festive family flick shown on our giant blow-up screen on the Crescent, happening every Tuesday until the end of the holiday season. We are letting the public choose what movie they want to see at the final Holiday Moonlight & Movies showing on 18 December! Check our Facebook page on Monday, 19 November when the poll will begin, and make your voice heard by choosing either Elf, Home Alone, or A Christmas Story as the film you’d most like to see.

Cayman HospiceCare’s Light Up a Life

Cayman 27’s Parade of Lights

Boats aglow with thousands of brightly coloured lights parade through the harbour against a soundtrack of choirs while a Christmas market charms with local food and crafts, live music and a special visit from Santa.

NKY Celebrates 10 Years of Fashion

Luxury retailer NKY celebrates ten years of fashion at Camana Bay. Headlining the event will be global fashion brand BCBGMAXAZRIA, New York-based men’s luxury brand Robert Graham, women’s designer Hale Bob, and California lifestyle brand Trina Turk, who are among the top designers showcasing their luxury styles at the fashion show. The evening will also feature local celebrities, a raffle and silent auction, cocktails and entertainment. Proceeds will benefit the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Cayman Islands. Santa Run

11th Annual Mistletoe Party
