Camana Bay Cinema is entering an exciting new chapter — one filled with innovation, convenience and a refreshed approach to the movie-going experience.
After years of relying on outsourced services for online ticketing and information, the cinema has begun rolling out a series of upgrades that promise to make every customer’s visit smoother and more enjoyable than ever before.
The first major upgrade is the development of the cinema’s very own website. This new platform will offer an enhanced and more personal experience, giving guests access to information tailored specifically to Camana Bay Cinema. Instead of navigating generic pages, customers can now purchase tickets directly through the cinema’s own system, browse movie details and even secure concession items before arriving at the theatre. One of the most celebrated changes is the ability to use gift cards and vouchers online, which is something long requested but never possible with the previous outsourced setup.
Alongside the website, the cinema is also in the process of designing a brand-new mobile app. This app will mirror the website’s functionality while providing a smoother, more efficient experience on mobile devices. Customers will be able to purchase tickets, order popcorn and soda, or check out showtimes at their convenience — movie magic literally at your fingertips.
“We will have three kiosks available to enhance the customer’s journey,” Camana Bay Cinema’s General Manager Corey Randolph said. “From the kiosks, customers will be able to purchase tickets and concession items using credit cards, vouchers or gift cards.”
These kiosks will allow guests to skip traditional lines altogether.
The lobby is also receiving a modern makeover. In addition to the kiosks, the cinema is introducing new self-service fountain drink, ice and popcorn stations. Guests can purchase a popcorn tub or soda cup and fill them to their liking — returning for refills as often as they wish throughout their visit. This do-it-yourself approach adds a fun twist to the concession experience, giving customers more choice and flexibility.
Initially, digital concession purchases via the website, app and kiosks will be limited to popcorn and soda. However, expansion plans are already in motion, promising a growing menu of digital offerings in the near future.
“Just in time for Christmas, the cinema will also be offering its very own gift cards which can be redeemed on all of our new sales platforms” Randolph said.
