Butterfield receives best private bank awards
Butterfield has been recognised as the Best Private Bank in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda by The Banker and PWM in the 14th annual Global Private Banking Awards 2022 and also by Global Finance in their eighth annual World’s Best Private Banks 2023 awards.

The Global Private Banking Awards are considered amongst the most prestigious private banking awards, with both The Banker and PWM belonging to the Financial Times, and acknowledge private banks that excelled in their business strategy, boosted inflows and satisfied clients.

This year, more than 120 banks from 50 countries entered the awards.

Cayman partner included in 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds report for 2022
Mourant partner and practice leader of the firm's Cayman Islands-based corporate team, Catherine Pham, has been recognised by the Hedge Fund Journal in their Top 50 Women in Hedge Funds report for 2022.

The report is now in its 10th year of recognising and highlighting top female talent in the hedge funds sphere. In this year's report, 49 of the 50 women included are new to the report. Pham is the only woman based in the Cayman Islands to feature.

"It is an honour to be included on the list of Top 50 Women in Hedge Funds, especially given the exceptional calibre of my peers featured in the report this year," Pham said.

Bedell Cristin ranked as a leading offshore law firm
The Legal 500 Caribbean 2023 guide recently ranked Bedell Cristin as a leading offshore law firm with eight members of the team ranked individually and 13 recognised as key lawyers.

In the Cayman Islands, Partners, Laura Hatfield, Ian Jamieson and Andrew Miller have been ranked as 'leading individuals' along with Fraser Allister and Michael Sharvin ranked as 'rising stars'. The guide also recognises Daniel Altneu, Kimberly Ebanks, Jamie McGee, Kai McGriele, Joss Morris, Stephen Nelson, Richard Parry and Mellissa Thomas as key lawyers.
