Camana Bay’s electric vehicle (EV) charging network is now easier to use following a recent partnership with Caribbean Utilities Company (CUC) under its Electric Vehicle Charging Station programme.

Camana Bay’s 10 electric car charging stations now operate on CUC’s convenient pay-as-you-go system, giving drivers a simple way to charge up while spending time in the Town Centre. Charging stations are available at four locations: the ground level of the Solaris and Forum Lane parking garages, the parking lot adjacent to Foster's and the Kapok parking lot.

The Town Centre’s first two public EV charging stations were completed in 2012 and, at the time, were two of just 14 charging stations across Grand Cayman. Those stations were powered by five kilowatts of solar panels installed atop the Solaris Avenue Parking Garage — an early demonstration of how renewable energy could support transportation needs in the Cayman Islands.

Sustainability is woven into the fabric of the Town Centre,” said Camana Bay Property Manager Dave McKay. “By increasing our charging capacity, we are removing barriers to green transit and supporting our community's journey toward a more resilient and sustainable Cayman".

As electric vehicles become more common on Cayman’s roads, reliable and accessible charging points will continue to play an important role in supporting that transition. With charging stations located across key areas of the Town Centre and a streamlined pay-as-you-go system now in place, Camana Bay’s EV charging network offers a practical option for tenants and visitors looking to reduce their emissions without compromising convenience.

It’s one of several Camana Bay sustainable amenities and features that support a more environmentally responsible Town Centre experience.
