Camana Bay is raising a toast to summer with the launch of Camana Brew, a limited-edition craft beer created in partnership with Cayman Islands Brewery. The enticing elixir will make its debut during the Constitution Day celebration on 7 July, accompanied by a fireworks display.
Christy Whittaker, senior manager, marketing and brand strategy at Dart, described the beer as a bold initiative aimed at maintaining momentum following Camana Bay’s refreshed brand rollout in 2023.
“Our goal is to keep the momentum going through bold, creative initiatives that reinforce Camana Bay as the heart of community life in Cayman,” she said. “Camana Brew is a fun, seasonal expression of that vision.”
The custom beer, which will be available only at Camana Bay, was developed collaboratively by Dart and Cayman Islands Brewery. According to Craig Webster, general manager of Cayman Islands Brewery, the project involved a tailored approach from start to finish.
“We started by defining the beer style, selecting ingredients to match it and then experimenting with flavours,” Webster said. “From brewing to label design, this has been a highly collaborative effort with Camana Bay.”
Camana Brew is crafted with a blend of Citra and Amarillo hops, giving it a citrus-forward, tropical flavour profile with floral notes. The final recipe was fine-tuned through a series of tastings with input from both teams.
“The flavour was developed in conjunction with Camana Bay through numerous tastings,” Webster added. “It’s a balanced, refreshing beer we’re proud to put our name behind.”
The beer will be available in cans and served at Camana Bay restaurants and select Camana Bay events. Details on distribution following the launch will be shared on Camana Bay’s social media channels.
“We encourage everyone to come out and try this limited-edition brew,” Whittaker said. “It’s the perfect way to kick off the summer season.”
Camana Brew marks the first private-label beer produced exclusively for Camana Bay.
