Health City at Camana Bay marked a major milestone in its maternity services with the successful delivery of three healthy babies earlier this year, the first newborns to be welcomed at the facility.

The first baby was born at 5:19 a.m. on 13 March, followed by two more on 16 and 18 March. All three deliveries took place in the hospital’s newly opened maternity unit, which offers private birthing suites and 24/7 care from obstetricians, midwives and neonatal specialists.

“This moment represents the realisation of a vision — to offer expectant families in the Cayman Islands a world-class birthing experience close to home,” said Dr. Binoy Chattuparambil, clinical director at Health City Cayman Islands. “Our maternity unit is designed to provide the highest level of clinical care, but just as importantly, an environment that prioritises the comfort and confidence of every mother.”

Health City’s maternity services include private birthing suites with modern labour and recovery amenities, a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and access to antenatal education and postnatal support. The hospital also offers wellness programmes and comfort-focused amenities aimed at enhancing the birthing experience.

New mother Shiela Masangcay, whose baby was the second born at the facility, praised the care she received.

“My experience at Health City was truly outstanding,” Masangcay said. “The team exemplifies what patient care should be — compassionate, professional and highly efficient. They prioritise their patients’ well-being with a strong sense of urgency while ensuring that every individual feels valued and fully taken care of.”
