Town Centre lights in lavender – throughout February
Camana Bay will be lighting up lavender for cancer awareness for the month of February. Cancer is a major health concern in the Cayman community and 4 Feb. is World Cancer Awareness Day, when we join with countries around the world to show our support for the fight against cancer. The Cayman Islands Cancer Society will be selling their lavender cancer awareness ribbon pins to remind people that while the pink ribbon shows support for breast cancer and the blue shows support for prostate cancer, the lavender ribbon is universal and shows support for all people with cancer.
