A BETTER WATER BOWL
Which would you rather drink: a glass of freshly poured filtered water or glass of stagnant water that has been sitting out all day, collecting dust and growing bacteria? For humans, it's an easy question to answer, but for our canine and feline friends, it's hard for them to convey that they would rather have the former if given a choice. Pet owners can give them that choice by providing them with the TORUS water bowl, available at Must Love Dogs. This ingeniously designed water bowl system automatically provides carbon filtered water without batteries or another power source. Available in 1-litre or 2-litre sizes, TORUS water bowls store water inside their reservoir walls, ensuring an ample supply of fresh water, protected from dust and contaminants. Each time your pet takes a drink, replacement water automatically flows from the storage area into the drinking well. Limiting the amount of water that flows into the well reduces spillage and that, along with the ability to lock out the flow entirely, makes TORUS ideal for travel.
FLAMELESS FLICKERING
It's the time of year when it's delightful to sit outside in the evenings in the Cayman Islands and having a candle burning can add ambience to the scene. However, it's also the time of year when it's often quite breezy, which means keeping a candle lit can be challenging. LightLi candles by Liown, available at Design Studio, are flameless, battery-powered LED candles that are never blown out by the wind. The LightLi Moving Flame outdoor candles capture the essence of a burning candle by emulating the dancing nature of a real flame. With two alkaline D batteries, the candle will flicker for 700 hours and it features a five-hour timer that will allow you to maximise battery life, even if you forget to turn it off manually. Made of durable plastic, this weather resistant candle can be used all year round. They're also a great addition to a hurricane kit or for other times when the power goes out.
A WINE AND CHEESE VALENTINE'S DAY
Valentine's Day is this month and for those looking for something romantic to do before dinner out — or perhaps even instead of dinner — Next Chapter has a solution. The insulated Moreno Wine Tote holds up to three bottles of wine or Champagne (including up to two magnums!), along with a hardwood cutting board, a stainless steel cheese knife and a waiter-style corkscrew. Carry it over your shoulder or unzip it to make it a backpack. Just add the wine and cheese — and maybe a printed love poem — and head for a quiet spot on the beach or in the park and you've created a romantic moment that will live on in your memories long after that cheesy greeting card and flowers are forgotten.
ROCK ON WHILE GAMING
Let the young gamer in your life get comfortable in this foldable gaming floor chair that also rocks. Featuring two Bluetooth speakers — which can also be used with an analogue connection — near the headrest to intensify the gaming experience, the X-Rocker Video Gaming Chair, available at Cayman MAC Store, is compatible with most gaming devices and smart devices. It's great for comfortably watching television or listening to music while rocking to the beat as well.
