People around the world celebrated National Cookie Day on 4 Dec., a day to pay tribute to the sweet treat.

People love cookies because they're "crunchy and sweet," said Petit Paris owner Bruno Deluche, whose personal favourite is chocolate but says you must try the macadamia nut next time you come in.

Down Market Street, the folks at Jessie's Juice Bar are also known for their confectionary creations. Co-owner Lachie Hewitt says it's the combination of a sweet treat in a small package that makes the cookie so popular. His favourite is Anzac, which you can try next time you stop by Jessie's.... Maybe give the thumbprint a try, too!
