Man of colour standing in front of green thermal units

Name: Ivan Webb

Position: Chiller Plant Technician

Where are you from?
Born in the U.S., raised in Jamaica, came to Cayman when I was 10 years old.

How long have you worked at Camana Bay?
17 years and seven months.

How would you describe your day-to-day?
Repairing and maintaining chillers at the chiller plant that supplies chilled water to all of Camana Bay; [checking British Thermal Unit] metres, which we use to bill for chilled water used by all our tenants; programming [a building management system], which runs all A/C systems, Lutron — which controls lighting systems — and P2000, which controls access systems.

What do you enjoy about your job?
Camana Bay is unique in that all these different systems are located in one place and I am able to work on them all, giving me the experience I would not otherwise have working somewhere else.

Favourite Camana Bay moment?
Coming here with my daughter to the different venues and events.
